A source inside BMW has leaked to me CAD files of the new G30 BMW M5, specifically the front and rear bumpers. While the rear bumper is standard fare for BMW’s newer M cars like the F8x M2/M3/M4, the front bumper is much more subdued and less aggressive.

While the M2, M3, and M4 mark a departure from the standard cars, the G30 instead appears to eschew such boy-racer posturing in favor of touches that accentuate the base car’s styling, as has been tradition with the M5 since its inception. I do not have details on powertrain or suspension goodies at this time, but given the specs announced for the M550xi this past week, I can only expect the new M5's performance to be earth-shattering.
